So, every year or two I sit down and let my mind wander on page. The point of these little doodles is to draw something - anything - and then to look at the blank space around it and figure out what it could be part of.
If you look at this piece (in it's four compass-point rotations) and can't figure out which pieces might have come before others, I've done my job. The whole idea is to make many of the pieces of the whole feel like they could have been their first, whichever ones actually were.
